Classic itinerary in Tanzania

1、 Ten days and nine nights northern itinerary from April to May


D1: (International flights) - Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha Town

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, complete the entry procedures, exit the country, and be picked up for transportation to Arusha town. It takes about an hour by car to reach the hotel in Arusha town. If lucky, you can see Mount Kilimanjaro on the road.


D2: Arusha Town - Tarangire

After breakfast at the hotel, take your lunch box and head to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, begin Game Driving;

Tarangire National Park is located in the northern part of Tanzania, in the Great Rift Valley of East Africa, with an area of 2850 square kilometers. It is famous for its large herd of elephants and uniquely shaped baobab trees, and is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania.


D3: Manyara Lake - Arusha Town

After breakfast at the hotel, enter Lake Manyara National Park Game Driving.

Manyara Lake is a paradise for birds, and flamingos are also frequent visitors here; However, you can only observe from a distance. The trails in the lake provide you with a great angle to capture the beautiful scenery of Lake Manyara, and you may even encounter elephants up close in the jungle.


D4: Tarangire Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enter the bottom of the Engoro volcano for sightseeing. There is a 6-hour time limit for sightseeing at the bottom of the volcano, so be careful to control your time.

The Engoro crater is an extinct volcano that last erupted 250000 years ago. Due to its violent eruption, it has become a huge basin. A hotel has been developed at the edge of the basin, where you can overlook the magnificent landscape of the huge basin. Tens of thousands of wild animals inhabit this basin, making it a paradise for wildlife.


D6: Engoro Serengeti

In the morning, at the hotel, take a look at the morning mist at the bottom of the volcano.

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Serengeti National Park.

Serengeti National Park is located west of the Great Rift Valley in East Africa, extending north to the Kenyan border. It is the most prestigious and largest national park in Tanzania, as well as one of the largest wildlife reserves in Africa. This is a paradise for wildlife, inhabited by the world's largest and most diverse population of wild animals. In addition to the African Five Hegemons, common wild animals include gorillas, baboons, antelopes, zebras, crocodiles, hippopotamuses, African lizards, ostriches, and more. The meaning of Serengeti in Maasai language is "boundless plain". In the blue twilight, Serengeti is full of mysterious colors and contains infinite vitality. The story of survival of the fittest that is constantly unfolding is the charm of this land.


D7: Serengeti

Game Driving in the central part of Serengeti National Park throughout the day.

The Serengeti National Park covers an area of 16000 square kilometers, located west of the Great Rift Valley in East Africa, 335 kilometers northwest of Arusha, and extending north to the Kenyan border. Serengeti means "boundless plain" in Maasai language and is one of the largest wildlife reserves in Africa, known for its annual animal migration. 90% of animal documentaries and images in National Geographic, Exploration, and Zootopia are filmed here.


D8: Central Serengeti - Lake Eyah

Continue Game Driving in Serengeti National Park in the morning and head to a hotel near Lake Eyah in the afternoon.

On the way, visit Marseille Village. Marseille people are a famous nomadic tribe in East Africa, and Marseille Village here is more primitive.


D9: Hadzabi Tribe Datoga Tribe Blacksimth Tribe Manyara Lake

After breakfast at the hotel, head to the tribe of the Hadzabi people, follow them on a hunting trip, and then visit the village of Hadzabi. The Hadzabi tribe is the last primitive people on the East African grasslands and the only ethnic group in the world allowed to hunt. Men go hunting while women and children gather fruits and honey.

The Datoga tribe (Datuga people) come from Sudan and Ethiopia and have been in Tanzania for no less than 3000 years. Their iron smelting skills are superb. They used to live a nomadic life like the Maasai people, but now they are more inclined towards farming.

The customs of the Blacksimth tribe are similar to those of the Datoga tribe.


D10: Arusha - Kilimanjaro Airport - (Fly) - Return to Country

You can sleep in for a while today, have lunch, and then head to Kilimanjaro International Airport, pay attention to time management. If lucky, you can see Mount Kilimanjaro on the road.

In the afternoon, take an international flight back to your home country and end your trip to East Africa.

After breakfast, depart for the Ndutu Plain. Track the migrating army and search for precious scenes such as zebras and zebras giving birth.

Every December to March, the horned horse army migrates to the Ndutu Short Grass Plain, where the favorable environment provides them with excellent views of production and green grass food. During peak periods, an average of about 8000 zebras are born every day, which is why the Serengeti is able to thrive.


D7: Ndutu Plain

Track the migrating army on the Ndutu Plain all day long, searching for precious scenes such as zebras and zebras giving birth.

 

D8: Ndutu Plain - Lake Eyah West

Continue Game Driving on the Ndutu Plain in the morning and head to a hotel near Lake Eyah in the afternoon.


D9: Hadzabi tribe and three other tribes - Marseille village - Arusha
