Introduction: As Kenyas sole freshwater lake, this rift valley formation stretches 20 kilometers north-south and 13 kilometers east-west, with a maximum depth of 20 meters. At 1,900 meters above sea level, it holds the distinction of being the highest lake in the Great Rift Valley. The shoreline features expansive papyrus marshes, while a crescent-shaped island within the lake serves as a privately established wildlife sanctuary.

Discover the lakes wonders: Take a boat tour where guides spot hippos, crocodiles, and other aquatic creatures, while watching birds of prey like ospreys catch fish. Wander through lakeside gardens and woodlands to admire scenic views of mountains and water. Explore the crescent-shaped island area for walks with grazing animals like zebras and giraffes.
